Abstract
This piece of creative writing falls under the category of Climate Fiction. Its purpose is to be used in Sophomore through Senior level English classes. The work can be used to explain climate change, its causes, effects, history, and future predications in a qualitative format. The story is broken up into three parts, one story line takes place in the late 1800s, another in 2035, and a final in 2150. These are crucial timelines that can illustrate some of the most significant human-made causes and effects. The story wraps up with 10 discussion questions that ask students to track storylines, do their own research on background information, and make plans for the future on how to help mitigate the effects of climate change that we may see.
