Abstract
Educators state that all children are blessed with creativity, and that it is experience which either deadens or stimulates the desire to use the imagination. Too often the pursuit of the arts in education is underestimated as an unnecessary "frill," rather than as being a catalyst to the development of creative ability. Art seems to be a natural source of enjoyment for most children; all children are artists. It is a natural inclination to scribble, design, and make environments attractive. The need for creative thinking is desirable. This thesis explores the valuable place of the arts in education.
