Abstract
Like many devices, feeding tube pumps have been designed for a fraction of their market. However, little research and innovation has been done to bring users a human-centered solution. This project derives from in-depth user research using multi-methods of data collection. It will present and highlight findings found through this process that drove the final result. Targeting the user, economic, and environmental markets, coex. delivers a simplified user experience for enteral feeding—people who use feeding tubes to receive nutrition, fluids, and medication. The impact of this device improves the psychological safety of its users by decreasing this stigma of this treatment.
