Abstract
2020 was destined to be a year of frequent turmoil and change. After the world economic growth rate hit a ten-year low in 2019, the outbreak of COVID-19 had plunged the world back into high uncertainty and panic. By March 10, 2023, there were a total of 676,609,955 confirmed cases of COVID-19 worldwide, distributed in more than 190 countries (Johns Hopkins University, 2023). This ongoing global public health crisis has caused the world economy to experience the most severe recession since the Great Depression of the 1930s, and it is likely to become a giant "black swan" that stirs up the economic prospects for the next few years or even longer.
