Abstract
This research explores the consumer trust relationship regarding food safety in ready-to-eat delivery meals. Beginning with identifying a potential trend in consumer distrust, then, assessing upcoming and current methods used to prevent the compromising of food safety. Secondary research consists of understanding the preexisting food safety standards in the delivery industry, the federal requirements in place to protect consumers, and consumer tendencies when deciding to order delivery. The absence of information noticed across gathering secondary data led us to the primary research in the form of a survey, “Do consumers trust that their food has not been tampered with?” and “What methods to prevent food tampering are working, and which methods are not?”
