Abstract

During the Spring 2023 semester, teams of students from all over the United States pitch to Indeed through the National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) and produce a comprehensive plans book. The content of these books are based upon requests from Indeed. We presented to the representatives on April 28, 2023, where our team pitched our marketing plan and went through an in-depth question and answer session. I was a member of the media section on Western Michigan University’s team. For my role, I worked mainly with math and data. One of my largest responsibilities included curating and interpreting data through databases like MRI Simmons and Helixa. This data was worked into our rationales for choosing certain media spots over others. I also worked with Excel to calculate impressions, CPMs, and total media costs.
