Abstract
Saudi Arabia and Iran by way of their oil royalties have developed funds to industrialize. Two industries designated as priority industries are steel and aluminum. This report examines the potential growth Saudi Arabia and Iran have for the development of steel and aluminum facilities. An analysis of economic and industrial data will help determine the feasibility and profitability of such industries. The second theme examines the contribution American firms make towards building plants in the two Mid-Eastern countries. This study will also include criterion that Saudi Arabian and Iranian personnel consider in their initial decisions before committing resources to individual projects.
