Abstract
This study is a qualitative marketing research project that examines what living conditions college students currently endure, what conditions students consider necessary, what possessions students own, how they feel about money, and their overall feelings about spending and materialism. This project also examines how students who attended college throughout the 1970s and 1980s lived. The findings compare living conditions and spending habits to determine how living conditions and spending has changed.
