Abstract
This paper examines the experiences of twenty WMU students, ranging in level from 1st year freshman to 5th year seniors. This survey provides data of five areas of student satisfaction and engagement, and is compared to other universities with similar institutional characteristics. Other research was also considered when developing questions on what aspects of a student's life plays a vital role in student success at the university level. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the themes that emerged from the interviews: student involvement, relationships, failure, and success are all present.
