Abstract

Business often end up in trouble when the day-to-day routines become messed up as the manager spends increasingly more time solving problems and less time looking at innovative methods and products to move the company forward.

This paper examines Mac's All-Temp, an HVAC contract company specializing in residential heating and air conditioning installations. After a change in management, revenues and large net losses were noted. Financial statements had not been produced for over a year and no data was being tracked. Employees were not getting feedback, and there was an employee turnover rate of nearly 100%. Adding to these difficulties was poor cash flow. A plan is presented to help set the company back on track.
