Abstract
When I decided to put together a portfolio my junior year, I thought I would simply put together a collection of my writing for the Western Herald. I have been an Arts and Entertainment writer for three years and during that time I tried to write a variety of stories including columns, concert/show previews, reviews, and many types of features in order to expand the styles of journalistic writing I can do. Also, I wanted to broaden my portfolio. I enjoy writing for the A&E section and am happy to have had the opportunity to see many kinds of shows, meet interesting people, and improve my writing skills.
