Boir Ahmad province

The fieldwork covered a tribe of Luri-speaking people in the province of Boir Ahmad, Iran. The areas ruins tell stories of a rich political and cultural history. Its landscape undulates in folded hills, mountains, valleys, plateaus, springs, and rivers. This section of images takes one through Boir Ahmad, from its towns and villages into the deepest regions of small settlements, and among the ruins of previous settlements and the seats of power.
