Abstract

This handbook was designed to be a practical guide for adult educators in evaluating adult education programs. In preparing this handbook, a number of factors were taken into consideration.

Legislators, adult education directors, and the Michigan Department of Education provided data which were used in the study.

This handbook is divided into three parts. The first is a self-evaluation guide, the second concerns the responsibilities of the evaluation team, and the third an establishment of a post-graduate exam of basic skills.
