Description

The papers in this session chiefly explore the effect(s) of the gaze--the FEMALE gaze--upon the knights of Arthur's Round Table and/or upon their enemies. The male gaze does act in the _Morte_, but it is the woman's gaze that stimulates the actively masculine (or macho) behavior of the knights.
