Description

The writings of the poet, hagiographer, and bishop Venantius Fortunatus are important and illuminating sources for early medieval Gaul. Yet certain aspects of his work remain under-explored. The papers in this session discuss Fortunatus' theology, hagiography, and creation of memory.
