Description
This year's White Hart Lecture features a talk by Jeffrey Hamilton, a leading scholar on the reign of Edward II, who will combine new research with an assessment of some of the recent scholarly output on this subject, which has become the focus of surging scholarly interest of late. Consistent with other White Hart Lectures in recent years especially, this longer format will allow the speaker extra time and space to expand arguments, sum up the current state of the field as it pertains to Edward's reign, and perhaps make some remarks as to future paths of scholarly inquiry.
