Description

Participants in this workshop will use freely available digital editing software to create “starter” digital editions of manuscripts using descriptions and digital images of medieval manuscripts from OPenn (http://openn.library.upenn.edu/). We will look at methods for downloading the data, loading the manuscript description and image files into editing software, and transcribing and encoding the manuscript text. No programming experience is required or expected. Participants are encouraged to bring their laptop computers enabled with WMU WiFi.
