Description

The late-fourteenth-century Icelandic compilation Flateyjarbók includes numerous Old Norse texts, many of which are preserved nowhere else. The manuscript is frequently mined for versions of these texts but is rarely considered in its own right. This session focuses on specific texts included in the compilation and considers how they were adapted to fit the Flateyjarbók project. Alison Finlay
