Abstract
Both nationally and internationally, many religious leaders from the Abrahamic faiths of Islam, Judaism, and Christianity have cooperated with local government policies restricting mass gatherings. However, as this article discusses, a small group of religious leaders are doing otherwise. For instance, in Tanzania the president has made claims that COVID-19 cannot handle the "body of Christ". Additionally, the health minister of Israel eased up on curfew restrictions due to his belief that the "Messiah" will save them. These claims related to religious doctrine are explored in the article.
