Abstract
According to the article, the Church of God in Christ’s religious leadership has suffered due to 12-30 clergy, including bishops, dying from COVID-19. The United States’ biggest black Pentecostal denomination has lost leadership from Michigan, Mississippi, and New York. The Washington Post reports that the deaths in leadership among the Church of God in Christ may be due to funerals and conferences which occurred within the church during the month of March. Additionally, the article points to the inequality of health and economics among blacks in the U.S.
