Abstract
This article details the claim made by Dream City Church regarding virus-killing technology. The article also discusses events surrounding the claim, including a visit from President Trump. Dream City Church, a megachurch located in Phoenix, Arizona, claimed to have an air purification system that kills the COVID virus. The claim came in response to public health concerns over a gathering involving President Trump and Arizona college students. The article details why the claim was retracted, in addition to an interview with Pastor Luke Barnett of Dream City Church and Tim Bender, chief executive of CleanAir EXP, the company responsible for the air purification system used by Dream City Church.
