Abstract
This article details the practices, pilgrimages, and holidays of Jews, Muslims, and Christians that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Responses from religious communities and state governments are described, including the cancellation of communal prayers, worship services, and the practice of rituals, such as communion. The article focuses primarily on the United States while detailing some international examples. A controversial statement from the Greek Orthodox Church involving the transmission of COVID-19 and communion is featured in the article.
