Abstract
This article centers around the Buddhist doctrine of death and dying and how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected Buddhist funerals in addition to Buddhist ideas of Nirvana and rebirth. The article discusses the recitation of parittas before death. along with comparing a typical Buddhist funeral to a Buddhist funeral that has to abide by social distancing guidelines. The article features Erica, a Buddhist, and her concerns over the impact of COVID-19 on death and dying.
