Abstract
This article centers on the research of Katherine Marshall of Georgetown University and the Founding Director of World Faiths Development Dialogue. The research focuses on the tension between religious leaders and public health officials, particularly around their relationship to the public. The article discusses issues such as the spread of misinformation, how places of worship, and health organizations can work together, and past crisis such as the 2014 Ebola outbreak. The article includes a link to a digital repository featuring the response of place of worship and religious organizations to the COVID-19 pandemic.
