Abstract
In a blog post by American Atheists, Governor Whitmer’s decision to exempt places of worship from her executive orders around mass gatherings is discussed. The post cites examples from Florida, Louisiana, Arkansas, and New York in which CDC guidelines were not followed by religious organizations such as the Hasidic community in New York. The post also cites the 1944 case Prince v. Massachusetts.
