Abstract
This article centers around a recent national survey conducted by political scientists which found that despite COVID-19 and the varying stay-at-home orders, many places of worship were still holding in-person services. The survey was conducted by political scientists from Eastern Illinois University, Denison University, and the University of Cincinnati. The survey found that 22% of those who responded said that the COVID-19 virus was used as encouragement to attend places of worship. The article gives the results of the survey, in addition to discussing the national events and controversy around places of worship being closed.
