Abstract

This opinion piece discusses President Trump’s executive order to promote the freedom of religion in the United States and to making religious freedom a primary focus of foreign policies. The article discusses the issues of “essential“ and “nonessential”, along with President Trump’s decision to declare houses of worship as “essential”. Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is featured in the article.
