Abstract
This article details the tension between the government and places of worship when it comes to reopening or remaining closed during the Coronavirus pandemic. The article features the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court to allow California to continue restricting places of worship during the pandemic. The article includes example of non-compliant religious leaders being arrested, such as Pastor Rodney Howard-Browne of Florida. President Trump’s decision to declare all houses of worship as “essential” is also detailed in the article.
