Abstract
This article details the tension between different religious liberty advocacy groups after Pastor Rodney Howard-Browne of The River at Tampa Bay Church was arrested for holding in-person services. The article details why some advocacy groups believe their First Amendment rights have been violated while other groups are in support of states’ decisions to protect the health and well-being of the public. Liberty Counsel, Alliance Defending Freedom, the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, and the Center for American Progress are all advocacy groups featured in the article.
