Abstract
The article describes President Trump and his decision to make houses of worship “essential”, along with his claim that he will override state governors who defy his new order. The article also describes the perspective of Steve Vladeck, a law professor at the University of Texas, on Trump’s power, or lack of power over state governors. Vice President Mike Pence is featured in the article, along with current issues around First Amendment rights.
