Abstract
This article discusses the ban on religious gatherings across the United States amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to the backlash state governments are facing. The article details two incidents in Mississippi where those gathering for drive-in church services were fined by the police, as well as the conflict between Kentucky’s Governor and a federal judge. The article features U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, Pastor Charles Hamilton of King James Bible Baptist Church, and Lee Gordon, member of Temple Baptist Church.
