Abstract
This article discusses the social welfare role religion plays in the United States amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The article details the social outreach and aid provided by religious institutions in addition to the negative impact caused by religious organizations. The article discusses charity, and the First Amendment. It primarily focuses on Christianity in the United States.
