Abstract
This article discusses the virtual healing dance or jingle dress performed by three Ojibwe women and their families on Facebook. The article discusses the impact the virtual healing dance has had on Native communities all over the United States. The article features Umpaowastowin, Manidooniibikwe, and Migizigabowekwe, the three women who performed the jingle dress dance. Michele Hakala-Beeksma of the Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe is also featured in the article. An audio file of the interview is available in the article.
