Abstract
This article focuses on a Facebook group called “Social Distance Powwow” which was created in reaction to the COVID-19 pandemic. The article discusses the origins of the Facebook group in addition to how the group has brought indigenous communities around the United States and world together despite the isolation caused by the pandemic. The article features Rock Point Native Jarmando Lee, Social Distance Powwow Administrator Stephanie Hebert of the Mi'kmaq tribe , and Rosetta Walker of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. The article features a video of Rock Point Native Jarmando Lee performing a grass dance.
