Abstract
This article details the postponement of a United Methodist Church conference which was meant to determine if a new denomination would be formed due to differences in belief and doctrine over LGBTQ and same-sex marriage among different Methodist congregations. The article explains how the coronavirus has caused the conference to be delayed until 2021. Despite doctrinal differences, the article describes how leaders from the United Methodist Church are coming together to keep members of their congregations safe from the virus.
