Abstract
This opinion piece details the ritual of communion during COVID-19 among various Christian groups such as Catholics, Episcopalians, Presbyterians, Methodists, and Lutherans. The article discusses Pope Francis’ call to celebrate the doctrine of spiritual communion, while other Christian groups are participating in virtual Communion or a “eucharistic fast”. The article features Dave Manzo and his wife, two Catholics who celebrate communion at home without a priest.
