Abstract
Like so many of us, the 2022 Lincoln Mystery Plays struggled to rediscover their place in the world in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic—and it is exactly this challenge that helped the production speak truths sorely needed in our world today.
This review considers a variety of elements of the 2022 Lincoln plays, including props, casting, scripts, and music, and argues that these elements worked effectively together to remind audiences of the importance of community and of loving one’s neighbor as oneself.
