Visiting Children's International in the Dominican Republic opened my eyes to global awareness. Engaging with these children and hearing their stories created a deep sense of empathy. I learned to see the world from their perspectives. I became more informed about global issues such as education disparities, healthcare access, and social inequalities. I learned the value of taking informed action, whether through community service, supporting global causes, or simply spreading awareness and donations. This experience has motivated me to contribute to positive change on an international issue in the future. This experience made me more grateful for the resources I have in this school and outside. It also highlights the importance of using my privileges to help others and make a difference in the future.
