Biography

Sharyn Coates, Dr. OT, OTR/L is an outpatient and pelvic floor occupational therapist in a gastroenterology private practice and a part-time instructor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Western Michigan University (WMU). She is also an adjunct instructor in the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program at Davenport University. Dr. Coates is currently a student in the Ph.D. Interdisciplinary Health Sciences program at WMU. She earned her doctorate in occupational therapy and her master’s degree in occupational therapy from Grand Valley State University. Her bachelor’s degree is in English from University of Texas at Austin.
