Abstract
Clearly, as a perusal of the literature will support, interest in the lives of grandparents raising grandchildren among practitioners and researchers has increased dramatically over the last decade. As we approach 50 years since the appearance of Meredith Minkler and her colleagues’ classic work on grandparent caregivers raising their grandchildren amid the crack cocaine epidemic, I take this opportunity at the 10th anniversary of GrandFamilies to reflect on what directions grandfamily research might take in the future.
