Abstract
This presentation analyses qualitative interviews with Bhutanese refugees living in Akron, Ohio. Specifically, the presentation examines the factors predicting distress among this population, factors related to substance abuse, and factors that may protect against both distress and substance abuse. Community member identified intervention strategies are also provide as potential solutions.
