Abstract
The objectives of this paper are: to learn about the different types of amputations and causes, understand the psychological changes amputees face, become familiar with different prosthetics used and prothesists in the area, to learn how occupational therapy and other therapy personnel become involved in treatment, and to develop a program involving amputees to be implemented locally.
