Abstract
A thirty percent decrease in revenue from the 2003/2004 fiscal year to the 2004/2005 fiscal year forced the Kalamazoo County Child Abuse & Neglect Council to reduce some of the services it offers to the greater Kalamazoo community. This decline in funding makes community awareness of the Council's role in the area more important. Stakeholders need to know that resources are being utilized so that more donations will be made and services will remain available to those in need. However, because the Council lacks a method to measure its progress, it cannot prove that improvements are being made. The future of the organization is reliant on funding, which is dependent on the Council marketing itself and exhibiting accountability to itself and its stakeholders.
