Abstract
During the months of May and June of 2002,1 studied abroad in Tourrette- Levens, France, through a pre-internship program. The intention of this experience was to gain global experience in my major in elementary education, (with a specialization in early childhood), at Western Michigan University. During my time in the Tourrette- Levens Ecole Primaire and Ecole Maternelle, I kept a journal of my observations of and experiences in the French school system. The following is a reflection on the school systems in both the United States and France through personal analysis and research.
