Abstract
Discusses the changing concept of Airline Yield Management in the context of the U.S. airline financial crisis of the early 21st century. It provides definitions, operational necessities, and examples. The paper also explains how and why passengers today pay different fares for identical airline seats. Understanding the process of Airline Yield Management can create high revenues for the firm.
