Abstract

The kneel system is designed to lower the incline of wheelchair ramp for easy accessibility to the vehicle for differently abled people. This report covers the need, background, and engineering analysis for a kneel system in the Freedom Motors USA wheelchair-accessible Chevy Traverse conversion. To meet this need three kneeling systems are designed and compared, the best system is selected based on its performance, cost, and supply chain availability of the materials.
