Abstract
Several reasons exist to make the claim that wedding have historically been under-researched. First and foremost, the wedding industry is vast in terms of size and economic impact. According to the Fairchild Bridal Infobank American Wedding Study, approximately 2.2 million couples tied the knot in 2004. The same study indicated that the cost of the average American wedding has increased nearly fifty percent in just over a decade. What role do finances play in determining who is involved in making wedding plans?
