Abstract
A solution to meeting the informational needs of the elderly in the Kalamazoo area was proposed. Barriers to accessing information, information needs, knowledge of available services, use of services, and current means of meeting the information needs were discussed. An Information Book for Senior Services, Inc. in Kalamazoo, Michigan, was developed. It is a comprehensive notebook of all the services available with a description of each service, including means of access, contact person, location of services, fees, eligibility, services provided, and hours of operation. The means through which this Information Book can meet the information needs of the older adult were also described.
