Abstract
The phenomenon of teen runaways is multifaceted and without any absolute certainties or truths. In this exploration, the writer addresses the basics of the topic: definitions, patterns of "running", classification of "running" behaviors, and other related aspects. The study also addresses the dynamics of running and the associated dangers and risks. The writer also examined services for runaways in two counties: Kalamazoo County and Kent County. The writer's major purpose in this study was to educate herself about teen runaways and to make some assessment of this complex issue.
