Abstract
I wrote this article for the first edition of our high school newsmagazine, The Communicator. The audience is my fellow high school peers, parents and up to 1,000 people who view our magazine each edition. I decided to write this piece after I repeatedly walked by a homeless couple on my way to work. I realized that, although I saw them at least three times a week, I knew nothing about them. I wanted to change that. After sitting down and talking with them, I learned more than ever before about their lives, and the services my city provides for homeless people.
